About me
Hi! I'm Qijia He (何其佳), a senior student in Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech). My major is Data Science and Big Data Technology, and now I'm seeking opportunities for a master/Phd degree related to Data Science / Computer Science / Statistics.
I’m also a badminton and rock climbing enthusiast. I like hiking and traveling a lot. Anything new and adventurous will quickly catch my interests. More related details are shown in the Playground section.

Skills
As a data science major, having a solid foundation in the field is crucial. Here, I have rated my skills based on the article 7 Skills Every Data Scientist Should Have.
The courses I took as a undergraduate student mainly related to Statistics and Machine Learning. Python in the core language I use. R is applied when statistical analysis is needed. and html helps me better visualize my data and do story telling process. My interests mainly lie in solving real world problems with data (operation and optimization research, stock recommendation system, etc. Creating economic value and solving real-world problems are often exciting!), and discovering real data patterns with data mining and machine learning skills, especially in the field of finance and social sciences.
As my drawbacks, I did not study SQL systematically in my first 3 years (This will be done in the final year). and I lack the practice of deep learning knowledge. Most of the deep learning related works I did are reproducing the result of others' papers and slightly fine tune existed big model. (No specific application scenarios or innovations)
